Working at full speed for security of supply

What’s it all about

Russia’s war on Ukraine is turning the energy supply in Europe on its head. New infrastructure needs to be built and put into operation. And quickly, too. Very quickly. Such as with the 26-kilometre-long Wilhelmshaven Pipeline Link (WAL), which now connects the LNG terminal in Wilhelmshaven to Germany’s natural gas grid.

Tackling challenges together

Communication efforts can go from 0 to 100 in no time. But the challenge is to make sure that their speed doesn’t come at the expense of their quality. Conception and strategy phase? No time for that! We’re going all out immediately. With in-person dialogue on the ground and transparent information. The project was a joint feat of strength for all stakeholders involved. Policymakers at the federal and municipal levels, government authorities, industry and local residents all work in concert towards the same goal. We show that the WAL is all about “Germany speed”!

The WAL is completed. In nine months instead of the usual eight years. A huge success. The opening is personally attended by Germany’s federal chancellor, economics minister and finance minister. Media sources from around the world publish stories about the project online and in print. The consensus message: If there’s a will, there’s a way to make the impossible possible.
